Distinguished Facilitator Announced  for Drucker's
"The Five Most Important Questions" Facilitator Network Training Program 

NEW YORK, March 13, 2009 - The Leader to Leader Institute announced today that distinguished facilitator and executive coach Iain Somerville, who Peter Drucker described as "the best facilitator of meetings, conferences and work groups I have ever met," will serve as the master facilitator of Drucker's "The Five Most Important Questions" Facilitator Network Training Program on April 25–26, 2009 in San Diego, CA.

Iain Somerville is a strategist and facilitator with over 25 years of experience in more than 30 countries in vision development, global strategy and organization design focusing on strategic leadership, partnerships, growth and change. As a skilled advisor and guide, he works with leaders of organizations engaged in changing lives to define the mission, shape strategy, advocate change and deliver results.

According to Frances Hesselbein, Chairman of the Board of Governors and Founder of the Leader to Leader Institute, “Whether speaking at large corporate or government sponsored conferences, or leading workshops on college and university campuses, or holding press conferences with news media; always for Iain, the mission comes first, the values are lived and the needs of the customer are paramount.”

The founder of Somerville and Associates, a management consulting firm in Los Angeles, Iain works with CEOs and Boards of healthcare, education, government, technology, financial and social sector organizations to accelerate growth and amplify impact. Some of his clients include Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, American Express Company, The United Nations, Harvard Business School, GlaxoSmithKline and Hewlett-Packard Development Company.

Previously Iain was a managing partner with Accenture (Andersen Consulting). Iain also has held senior management roles with leading consulting and technology firms such as McKinsey & Company and International Business Machines Corp (IBM). Iain earned his MBA with high distinction at Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. He also holds master’s degrees in psychology and theology, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Iain is a Certified Corporate Director (UCLA Anderson School); and his current board memberships include the Drucker School of Management; Leader to Leader Institute; Association for Strategic Planning; and the Church of Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA).

 

About Drucker's "Five Most Important Questions" Facilitator Network Training Program

The Drucker's "Five Most Important Questions" Facilitator Network Training Program is designed for experienced organizational trainers to develop expertise in the utilization of the "Five Most Important Questions" tool. In 2009 there will be three Program training sessions in selected regions of the United States to which potential participants may apply. The first session will be on April 25—26 at Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, CA. The cost for tuition is $2,000. Leader to Leader Institute members receive a 20% discount, totaling $1,600.
