Leader to Leader Journal receives APEX 2009 Award of Excellence

July 22, 2009: NEW YORK-- The Leader to Leader Institute (founded as the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management in 1990) announced today that the Leader to Leader journal, a quarterly publication of the Leader to Leader Institute and Jossey-Bass, received the APEX 2009 Award of Excellencefor Magazines & Journals – for print over 32 pages.

The 21st Annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual, international competition for writers, editors, publications staff and business and nonprofit communicators. This year, a total of 3,785 entries were evaluated, and according to the APEX2009 judges, “The awards were based one excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry inachieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.”

Previously, Leader toLeader received APEX 2007 Awards For Excellence in two subcategories: Regular Departments & Columns and Best Redesign, and APEX 2006 Awards of Excellence in three subcategories: New Magazines & Journals for its Special Supplement to Leader to Leader: Leadership Breakthroughs from West Point; Regular Departments & Columns written by editor-in-chief Frances Hesselbein; and Design & Layout for the overall composition of the journal.
